If you’re reading this then you’ve probably already noticed our new look and new website.
We’ve wanted to refresh our website for some time but, and we’re not complaining here, we’ve been extremely busy designing and developing websites, and carrying out digital marketing campaigns for our increasing number of clients. But in doing so we’ve been guilty of exactly what we advise our clients not to do; neglecting your own website when your business is busy.
Depending on the changes in technology, trends, and the industry they are in, we generally advise our clients to totally revamp their website at least every 3 years, but in the meantime keep it fresh with regular new and engaging content. In that regard we practise what we preach – our previous website was only two years old and our content is updated monthly at the very least (and we’re active on social media daily), but in truth our site has not reflected who we are for some time and redesigning our website seemed like the perfect opportunity to reflect this with a new identity too.
The process has not been easy. Mainly because when we design new logos and websites for our clients we do our best to understand their business and we give our opinions and advice wherever appropriate, but ultimately they decide what’s good and what’s bad, and what stays and what goes. However, in this instance we had the final say, and some of us are just never satisfied!
When a digital marketing and web design agency redesigns their website there’s always the temptation to over-design it and cram it with as many cutting edge features as possible to showcase exactly what you can do for your customers. However, we tried to remain focused on creating a user-friendly site that was visually appealing and engaging, whilst ensuring our content was accessible and easy to understand.
We hope we’ve achieved exactly that, but even if we haven’t it’s likely that our new site won’t stay the same for long. There will be a new video on the site soon, outlining our ACE Digital Marketing Methodology and, as we advise our customers to do, we’ll be adding lots of new content over the coming weeks and months with the latest digital marketing industry info as well of lots of tips on how to get the most from your website.
